Pros and cons of Epicurious app for iPhone and iPad

Epicurious app good for

There are more than 700 recipes under this heading. I love flipping through recipes for general ideas but its very messy navigating through the list here as one is compelled to start with the first recipe on page 1 all over before arriving at, for example, page 359, where one last left off. A page finder would indeed be of great help. The other option is to leave off at a particular page and resume later but alas, the device resets itself sometimes or accidents happen when i tap the "back" button too quickly and find myself back at the homepage...good grief, what a hassle to go through hundreds of pages to resume where i last left off! Tecnical glitch aside, this site offers a wide spectrum of recipes with feedbacks from users who have tried the recipes.
Really good application with amazing content, but i would rather pay for it than having adds. A better offline for ipod users would be great as well
Epicurious is really a great app! You can select your main ingredient, a special event for cooking or even search for something pleasant to eat among thousands of receipts. BUT, all those functionality are useless because all receipts use only English units (inches, oz, pounds, etc...) I am French and dont have any idea of what is an inch and dont want to have to use a converter app next to Epicurious on the iPhone/iPad. If there is a little thing to add, it must be a support for meters units system (liters, meters, grams, etc...) which is employed worldwide. I dont mind to read my receipts in English but meters system is a MUST HAVE!
Probably the best cooking app, but i dont use it because reading a recipe is too difficult for a non native english speaker.
Please add the retina feature, all the food pictures could definitely benefit from it!!!
great App but it would be nice, if there will be a german version ;) my english is not bad but there are special cooking terms i dont understand so.. would be nice to have a german version

Some bad moments

Diet coke ads? Yahoo ads? Grow up marketers! You can sponsor (message received) but you dont have to sell!
Ansich eine klasse App, wenn da nicht die Pinchmedia Elementen enthalten wären - sorry, ich liebe meine Privatsphäre mehr als diese APP - und tschüß. Surely a great App, if there werent elements of Pinchmedia - sorry, I prefere my privacy much more than these APP - asta la vista.
It keeps crashing on my iPhone 6 plus. Such a great app, but its not usable right now. It freezes and wont load anything when I click on a category, and it doesnt let me return to the main menu. Ive tried reinstalling and that doesnt fix the issue.
This used to be a good app, but in the last year, a buggy redesign and buggy updates have made it useless. It crashes repeatedly and is really slow downloading anything (if it even works). When it does work, the apps recipe box / shopping list features are not well implemented, and the app forces the user to log in to the website to do anything.
Sixth time writing this review that says I am disappointed with necessity of creating an account, logging in etc. poor excuse to get users info! Nicknames were always taken.
Used to be great for finding recipes and food ideas. Since last year the search feature became useless if you search more than 1 word. For example "roast chicken" gives all results for "roast" and all results for "chicken". That plus the need to log in now makes this a 1 star. Previous review was 5 star and it used to be the only recipe app I needed.
