Um ótimo app pra quem gosta de cozinhar, é possível buscar receitas por ingrediente, tipo de prato, pais, etc. Recomendo!
They sell you a digital subscription claiming “full access”, then when you force them to the truth you find out that the app will only work if you have a print subscription. Save your money and find recipes somewhere else.
Clicking on an Epicurious link on the web opens the Epicurious app which promptly crashes. iPhone 12. iOS 18.3.2 25MAR 25 - Developers response was useless. Not clear how to reset cookies in Settings. App Store didn’t prompt to update app. Workaround - abandon app and view recipes on laptop. 😡
I can no get the app to load when I open it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. I tried to contact app support and they did not respond.

Help! The app has been unable to load for weeks. I deleted it and reinstalled it. I don’t know what else to do. I pay for a subscription which is useless at this point.
Have used for more than a decade. Have hundreds of recipes saved in my recipe box, but this app will no longer even load on my iPhone despite updating, re-installing, etc. This worked far better before they monetized with paid subscriptions.

When I find a recipe that I want to keep I put it in my “ Recipe Keeper” app. Epicurious blocks the upload even though I pay for a subscription . UG! I hate that feature.
I have had a subscription to this for years. The app has never been good but now it is completely useless! It will not load. Tech support will only give canned answers ie delete and reinstall, reboot your device, is your software up to date etc. They will not READ what I have written. The app will not load. They told me they reset my password and it worked fine from their end. Please sign in and try again. That would be fine if I could get to the sign in part but - did I mention? The app will NOT LOAD! I will not be renewing this after being a customer for over 20 years. Going back to paper.
The recipes are good but I find the site works better on a phone or computer. It’s pretty buggy and slow on my iPad. The search at only works once and then I have to close and reopen the app to do a different search.
Same problem as others, content won’t load. Fix it!
app is unusable, wont ever even load. website on ios so full of ads (even as a subscriber) it is also basically unusable
I was given a subscription as a Xmas gift. The app refuses to acknowledge my subscription. I have contacted customer support with Epicurious and Bon Appétit at least 3-4 times with no resolution. The whole point of a digital subscription is to be able to use recipes from the app!!I have sent screenshots from the website indicating the app is included in the digital gift subscription and that has fallen on deaf ears. I would like to cancel and have the money returned to my son and DIL.
Disappointed. I’ve had this app for years and now it’s useless. Won’t load content. There a many more recipe apps to choose from.

The app is great when it works, but it hasn’t worked for me in the last 2 months. It is February 16, 2025 now. I have deleted it and reinstalled several times. My IPad is up to date. Flawed app. Asking for a refund.
I like to use professionally developed recipes and not use the amateur blogs but Epicurious makes it very hard to love this app. Search function is ridiculously poor, search for oven roast chicken and the first recipes it shows are (supposedly most relevant) tortilla soup, chicken meatballs and roasted carrot soup. Just really really poor and lately it has been super slow too to retrieve any search results. Come on, hire some professionals to improve this app, or make it free as this performance is not something we should pay for.
I updated because the app kept telling me “you must be a subscriber “ (I am) and now it simply won’t open. I want my money back.
I have had this app for years. Over the holidays, all of a sudden, I am unable to load the app on both of my devices. I have uninstalled/reinstalled. Shut down my phone, rinse and repeat the above steps and still no luck. I have emailed app support and received an email to try all of the above. Still not working.

Please fix it! Cannot access my recipe box and app crashes constantly. I miss using this app and now use the website if I want to see new recipes or access any of my saved ones. Hope these issues are fixed at some point. Thanks Have tried to email for help and there is never a response. Everyday it gets worse. Now it crashes every single time. Horrible customer service and basically told me not to email again ! I can’t even get the app to load!
I’ve used Epicurious off and on since 2005, only recently a paid membership is required, really disappointing to see, but I won’t start paying for something that was completely free for 20 years.
I’ve downloaded this app and can’t even get it to open. I’ve contacted support to no avail. When they do respond, it’s literally weeks later with no helpful information. I swear they don’t even read the information I send. I’ve included what phone I’m using, what OS version I’m on, screenshots of what I see, and the troubleshooting tips I’ve tried. The responses from ‘support’ have been awful - full of non-related stuff. And, again, literal weeks for a response.
I used to rely on the app for recipes all the time. I love being able to access such a full library…when it works. The app frequently crashes and sometimes my recipe library doesn’t load. Hoping the performance bugs can be worked out soon!

Very slow to open. Error pop-ups. No way to organize saved recipes by category or view “recents”.
After submitting a review, the developer advised me to contact them via email. That’s why I submitted the review! I tried for over a month to get a response from them via email and no one replied. There is no support for this app. Save your money.
Solid recipes. Great range of dishes.
I get an “Unable to Load” message when trying to launch. Deleted app and redownloaded, same message. I see quite a few other reviews with the same comment. Please just fix the bug so I can subscribe.
They brag about their extensive range of recipes, but so far I’m finding them to be devoid of useful recipes. Tons of mixed drinks and even recipes using Hamburger Helper, but where is a recipe for sopaipillas (or sopapillas, spell it every way you can)!

If this app has warned about in-app purchases on the download page, I may not be so harsh in this review. But I chose it over others because it did not appear to require in-app purchase like many others. It’s a total bait&switch and there’s no functionality without making a purchase.
Not very useful when the app does not load. Help is useless.

Was excited to see the scrolling issue was fixed but still doesn’t connect to my subscription. Fail. The website is starting to do the exact same thing. Will likely cancel unless resolved.
Try typing in “chocolate cheesecake” and see what you get. No chocolate cheesecakes. Ironically, if you type in “Epicurious chocolate cheesecake” in google you will find that they do exist.

This app was better when it was free! Not good search options or any way to compare recipes. Also cannot organize your recipe box
If you sign up for a free trial, it will still prompt you to sign up for a free trial despite signing up for the trial. Been trying to fix this, not worth the time, effort, or money. The New York Times recipe works flawlessly.
Content may be good, but the app is broken charged for a subscription I can’t use. Sign out and it says “active” login and it says to purchase a subscription. Restore Apple Purchase, it just spins and does nothing. Totally embarrassing as a software engineer someone paid for this to be built.
App will not allow me to view recipes asking for subscription which I have and tried to restore Apple purchases via settings but the app just hangs. Gave up
I purchased this & the app refuses to see that I have subscribed. Multiple times I have reinstalled this app. This is ridiculous. I’m canceling my subscription. Save your money. Very sad as I was so excited to have access to the mammoth amount of recipes
Difficult to navigate recipes on my phone. Very buggy….
I used to love this app, but now there’s so many technical issues. I barely use it. I’ve even restarted it re-downloaded it lost all my recipes. To the developer team, please fix this. It’s a paused app, it should work.
Can’t find a single recipe withought the subscription popping up this is stupid.
I cook from Epicurious frequently, but can’t keep the app running long enough to finish a single recipe. It freezes or returns to the homepage unprompted every couple minutes.
