Did the app upgrade a couple of days ago and my entire history of saved recipes has disappeared! Love the recipes but unhappy about losing my saved ones. Would have given this 5 stars otherwise.

Over the past years, I have spent untold numbers of enjoyable hours using this app on my iPhone or iPad. Over the past while (6 months, maybe less), I cant do a thing with the app. It freezes on my iPad every minute or so and I cannot even open it on my iPhone. Epicurious says that freezing happens if the devise is old or stocked full. This may be the case with my iPhone 4 that is three yrs old - but what is the point of the app then? In contrast, my iPad is a year old and has heaps of free space, so their trouble shooting advice is wrong. I may as well erase the app. It is annoying, useless and it seems like Epicurious does not believe the reviews. Why fight anymore?

Like others, my recipe box was unexpectedly emptied. Poor form, Epicurious! Not on.

Was so excited to see an update for this app starting an entirely new redesign. This was a great app that I kept many favourite recipes in, but never looked "good" on newer devices - so this update got me pumped. Then I opened it, and realized that it wasnt updated for the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus (big menu bar, huge oversized keyboard when searching, and slightly blurry everywhere). Im surprised to see dramatic UI update that doesnt include support for the newest iPhones (that have been out for a while now).

Should have figured this would happen... Do I really have to search for all my favourites again? Dumb!

I saved a whole bunch of recipes to "my recipe box", and signed up to sync to my ipad. Instead of saving the recipes to the online account, the app deleted them all.

If you have used the saved recipes I dont recommend this update as it "losses" all of your saved recipes...seems a rather poor method of encouraging use!

This app constantly freezes for me, so I was excited to get the new version. Unfortunately the new version works even worse. Not only does it still freeze, but the search function is basically inoperable. I wont be using this app anymore. Its easier just to use my browser.

Very surprised to find recipe box totally empty after update. App is great, trying to relocate tested and favorite recipes all over again is not!!

I like this app. It saved all my recipes, however when I start up the app I get a black stalled screen and usually need to shut it down and open it again.

This used to be a very decent app, but I can no longer load a single recipe. Its completely useless and not worth the space in your phone.

Update doesnt work. Crashes!! All these problems have been occurring since the new format and the Ads. There was nothing wrong with the old version. Just about done fussing with this once great app. Going to have to look elsewhere. Too bad epicurious - you ruined a great site.

I cant see recipes - neither the search function nor looking at them on the homepage works.

I guess with the latest update the app is now blank. Need a fix for iPhone 5s quickly pls!!!

This is my favorite app but since the last upgrade my IPhone 5 no longer gets the ingredient list, and I constantly get kicked out of the menu suggestions on both my iPad and iPhone.

Huge fan of Epicurious, but this app has always been painful to use. Now, it doesnt work at all if youre running anything below iOS 8.2. Click one recipe link, it displays another. Really, Epicurious?!

Takes way too long to add recipes to recipe box. Progress timer spins for a good 15 seconds. Also cant nav back to search results if I view my recipe box. Have to start search all over again. Otherwise okay so far.

Technically, that is. Crashes all the time, clumsy and slow when it doesnt. Theyre capable of more, but dont want to put time and effort in.

This was a great app. Now, I can get past the home screen but it crashes when I try to access anything beyond that. Im glad Ive created PDFs of recipes I want save.

Very disappointing. This used to be my go-to app for recipes. Now it crashes every time I try to navigate beyond the search results. Its completely useless at this point and I really, really hope that they address it in an update very soon. Until then do not waste your time downloading.
